Slim and trim - almost

Well, after 7 days on the doggie diet, I have lost .6kg so far. Partly I have lost so much because half the time I refuse to eat at all. I thought Mum and Dad would give in to me but it seems the vet told them I would come to no harm and to just "out-stubborn" me. Grrr.
Anyway, truth is, I feel better already. I can jump up on the bed without having to try a few times. And Mum doesn't grunt when I land on her chest LOL.
So, only 1kg left to go and I'll be a slim, trim running machine.

Porky puppy

Mum says I am a little fattie, and she should know - I landed on her breastbone today and she was *not* best pleased. So I am on a diet plan from the vets. I have to lose 1.5kg. Doesn't sound like much until you realise I only way 5.4kg to start with. Yes folks, up 0.4kg since we last mentioned the weight problem. So it's a teensy cup of diet biscuits and a 1/3 of a tin of wet food a day. I get the jellimeat at night and they feed me the biscuits throughout the day instead of sharing their own food with me. It sucks :-(

I've got new toys

Mum and Dad have been searching the country, high and low, looking for my favourite toys. Finally Dad found some, and only about 90 minutes from home. Amazing! So I have some new toys, and some more on order. Mum says they are buying spares and putting them away in the cupboard. That's okay; I know where there are and will talk to Grandma about them when she gets back from her holiday. Mum took a photo of just a few of them including my new favourite. That's the wee green one - it's called a Tiny Dog Mini Friend. It's about 3 inches across and I *love it* to pieces.

Happy 3rd Birthday

Three years old - what a big girl I am. Here is a montage of some of my many baby photos; boy have I changed in the last 3 years. My Mum and Dad say I am as cute as ever, and very sweet natured.

Day surgery in the toy ward

Tonight I sat down for some serious "day surgery". I have repaired an eye, a spine, two legs, a backbone, a nasty ripped throat and one ball. Yes folks, bring me your maimed and your sick and I will make them, umm, not whole again exactly - but certainly functional anyway.

Faith is small, Faith is cute - but Faith is also dynamite on her toys. She rips, tugs, throws and shreds; once she has made a gap in the seam she proceeds to pull the stuffing out.

Faith's favourite toys are the Hartz Tiny Dog range, but they are not easy to find in New Zealand. I found an online store and bought US$50 worth today but when I got to the checkout the freight was US$141 - yeah right! They would all have fitted into a decent size envelope, so I cancelled the order. And now I'm thinking on it.

BTW - the blue hippo pictured? He was the eye surgery case ;-)

This

This is not my best look. I don't know why she kept the photo. Really I don't. Her and Dad seemed to find it funny. I don't take photos of them looking stupid, so why can't they return the favour. Honestly, some people have no sense of loyalty !

Umm, does puking make you put on weight?

When my eyes got sick and I started taking lots of medicine I went from 4kg (8.8lb) to 4.5kg (9.9lb). The vet said we would worry about my eyes first, then worry about my weight later.

This morning Dad wanted to go to the pet store to buy bird seed and said I could go too, so he wanted to out my harness on me. But it was too tight! Dad laughed and called Mum to have a look. Mum said "oh surely not?". They weighed me and, well, I'm now 5kg (11lb) not 4.5kg. Another .5kg is not good news on such a wee dog.

Mum says no treats. Jeez, I'm not allowed snacks in the evenings anyway cos of my tablets so what's she on about? I think all the puking has made me fat. What do you think?
